📈 Access to new financing and growth opportunities.
Our goal is not only to invest in startups, but to support them during their early stages of growth by providing experience, knowledge and a network of contacts to accelerate their development.
2How does the competition work?
Angelespace was created by a group of entrepreneurs who carry out their activity at Digiespace and share a common goal: to identify and support technology projects with high growth potential.
After the application period closes, all submissions will be evaluated by a specialised jury. Shortlisted projects will take part in an intensive training programme to prepare their investment proposal and will present their project during the Pitch Day before the Business Angels.
The winning startup may access an investment of up to €50,000 and will begin an incubation and support programme over the following 18 months.
3Is registration for the competition free?
Yes. Registration is completely free and there is no cost to submit an application.
4Does participation involve any cost?
No. Taking part in the selection process does not involve any cost for entrepreneurs.
5What is the prize and how does the investment of up to €50,000 work?
The winning startup may access an investment of up to €50,000 through a convertible note. This is not a cash prize, but an investment intended to support the growth of the project.
6When and how is the investment made if I win?
Once the selection process has been completed and the corresponding legal review, or due diligence, has been carried out, the investment will be formalised and the incubation programme will begin.
7Once I have registered, what are the next steps?
After submitting your application, you will receive confirmation of receipt. The documentation will then be reviewed, a shortlist of projects will be selected, and the selected teams will move on to a training and Pitch Day preparation phase.
8What happens after I submit my application?
Our team will verify that the application meets the competition requirements and, if necessary, request any missing documentation before starting the evaluation process.
9Is it necessary to attend any stage of the competition in person?
Yes. Finalist projects must present their startup during the Pitch Day before the jury and the Business Angels.
10Do I need to have an incorporated company to participate?
No. You can apply even if you have not yet incorporated your company.
11Can I apply if my startup is still at project stage?
Yes, provided that the project meets the eligibility requirements and presents a technology-based solution with growth and scalability potential.
12If I win, what will the agreement with the Business Angel be like? What percentage of the company would I give up?
The investment will be made through a convertible note. The final terms will be negotiated between the Business Angel and the startup in accordance with the competition rules.
13What is the competition schedule once the application period closes?
Once the application period closes on 31 July, the expected schedule is as follows:
1 to 15 September: review of applications and shortlisting of participating projects.
15 September to 29 October: training programme, mentoring sessions and Pitch preparation.
